MY WORK<\/strong> SCHEDULE<\/strong><\/p>\n

I do not work late evenings.\u00a0 My last appointment on Monday thru Thursday is 5pm.\u00a0 I am not available in the mornings.\u00a0 I do not work Fridays or weekends.<\/p>\n

TELETHERAPY- DC AND MARYLAND RESIDENTS ONLY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Due to licensing regulations, I can provide online therapy only to clients who reside in DC or Maryland.<\/p>\n

IN–PERSON THERAPY<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am seeing a small number of clients in-person.<\/p>\n

FEES AND TREATMENT DURATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

My\u00a0 fee structure is as follows: $220 for 55 minute session. This is well below the usual and customary rate charged by experienced EMDR therapists in the DC metro area.\u00a0 Payments are made by credit card via <\/span>my Simple Practice online practice management account:\u00a0 https:\/\/daniel-merlis.clientsecure.me\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I offer reduced fees to clients seeking treatment for problems specifically related to duty in war-zones, health care settings, government\/NGO service in under-developed countries, police service, fire service, and EMS service.\u00a0 Please feel free to contact me to discuss.<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Treatment is usually limited to 10 sessions.<\/strong>\u00a0 This can be extended if you are making good progress and need some additional time.\u00a0 I will provide referral possibilities to clients seeking more extended treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

S<\/strong>C<\/strong>HEDULING AND CANCELLATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

I manage all scheduling myself in order to minimize confusion and to be most responsive to my client’s needs. Please contact me by voicemail or email if you need to change or cancel an appointment. My clients rarely change appointments without adequate notice and I try to provide as much notice as possible should I need to make a change. I have a 48-hour cancellation policy which applies both to myself and to you.\u00a0<\/strong> If I fail to provide this notice, the next session is at no expense to you.
